Pricing questions
What counts as a successful request?+
One where the site gave its real answer: the page you asked for (HTTP 2xx), or the site's own "not found" or "gone" (HTTP 404 or 410) for a page that no longer exists, such as a removed listing. Blocked pages, anti-bot challenges, network failures, timeouts and server errors are never billed.
How many credits does a request use?+
It depends on how well the website is protected. A plain page uses 1 credit; a page behind stronger bot protection uses more. Run any URL in the Playground to see its exact cost before you scale, and every API response shows the credits it used.
Can I choose the country a page is fetched from?+
Yes. Add country with a two-letter code (DE, FR, BR, ...) to any request and the page is fetched from that country. Leave it out and Crawio picks the best exit for the site. A country that is not available answers at once and is never billed.
What happens when I hit my plan's limits?+
Requests beyond your allowance get a clean 429 with a Retry-After header, never a surprise bill. Upgrade anytime; new limits apply instantly.
Do I need my own proxies or headless browsers?+
No. Proxy rotation and anti-bot handling run on our side. You send a URL with your API key and get the page back.
